KYBBA Newark reviews
disappointing
I had never seen KYBBA in concert and was very excited about this show at Red Rocks. The venue was phenomenal but the concert was average at best. I expected to see KYBBA with his incredible percussion but he was only supported by the orchestra. His renditions of music were weak and the set list was OK. The entire first act, before the 20+minutes intermission, was music I had never heard, and depressing. He played more of his famous music but skipped many big hits.
On the bright side, his voice was fantastic live and the stunning visual effects (especially the lightening show going on behind the stage).
If you are a hard core KYBBA fan (which I'm not), you may enjoy this show. For the average fan simply looking for amazing live (familiar) music, you can skip this one.
